For the first 15 years of my work life, I was a lawyer and a mediator. But in 2002, God called me into the ministry to preach.  I left the practice of law in 2005 to serve full-time in church ministry.  I’ve served at Calvary Baptist Church in Alexandria, Louisiana as one of the teaching pastors and as minister to young married adults.  In 2010, I began serving Pineville Park Baptist Church as their Senior Pastor and then in 2014 God called me to Westside as Senior Pastor.

I’m married to a Natchitoches girl.  Kimberly and I met in college at Northeast Louisiana University (now ULM) and we were married in Natchitoches in 1989.  She’s now the Dean of the Gallaspy College of Education & Human Development at Northwestern State University.  We have four children – Sarah, Andrew, Cameron & Kaleb – and one daughter-in-law, Andrew’s wife Hailee.

I love the local church.  As a transformed follower of Jesus Christ and as a pastor of a local church, it is my mission to make disciples of Jesus Christ and to lead and equip the local church to make disciples of Jesus Christ. (Matthew 28:19-20).  When I’m not at church, I love to cook, play golf and duck hunt.  And, I’m trying to learn Spanish!
